Stelios ZONTOS
Stelios Zontos works in communications since 1994. He has extensive experience in corporate communications, political relations, public opinion and opinion leaders’ surveys, public relations design and implementation, and crisis management. He has also served as head of press offices.
In 2000, in his capacity as director of the office of the then Minister of Labour, Tassos Giannitsis, Stelios was a member of the Greek team that worked on the CSR proposals for the European Commission’s Green Paper. From 2001 to 2004, he was director of the political office of the then Deputy Foreign Minister, T. Giannitsis.
In 2003, and during the Greek Presidency of the European Union, he spearheaded the planning and communications for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From 2004 to June 2011, he worked in the group of Leo Burnett, where he was responsible for CSR, crisis management, planning and implementing corporate communications and PR, as well as online reputation management for clients including Johnnie Walker, Alpha Radio 98.9, Bank of Cyprus, OTE, Tourist Promotion for the Region of Attica, Municipality of Athens, Delta Ice Cream, Nikas SA, OPAP, National Bank of Greece, IKEA, WIND, among others. In August 2011, he became the Chairman of the Board of The Newtons Laboratory SA.
Gravity The Newtons was established in 2015, where Stelios serves as CEO. In this role, he advises a diverse portfolio of clients across industries, including Lamda Development, HELLENiQ ENERGY, Fourlis Group, ExxonMobil, Athenian Brewery, IKEA, Pfizer, VIANEX Group, and efood, among others.
